What is the proper way to approch a military base, and advise them the benifits of chiropractic. In hopes they will contract you out as a Chriopractor to work on there base.

Generally speaking Jake you don’t approach a base. All hiring is done centrally, meaning at a location usually no where near the base in question. Commanders are able to hire locals to fill needed roles with their discretionary budgets, but that would not usually not include chiropractors. I have heard rumors of just what your suggesting, but they have been just that, rumors. I have no idea how you would approach such a venture, but if you have a particular base in mind you might ask around for the Civilian Service Employment Office for Direct Hires. If there is someone out there who has actually been hired directly by a base rather than the military branch, please post here and let everyone know how to get chiropractic to their troops locally.

My husband is currently serving in the Navy. We are about to be deployed to Japan.(Not an area approved as one of the new MTF) I have been working to try to establish a means for providing care while we are there. I have gotten very mixed answers, as to the legalities of it and the means of establishing care. I have yet to find any definitive answers. I think they are hoping I will just give up. I also find it troubling that there is a want for care; I will be there to provided it. Also I am willing to offer it basically free of charge and yet they are still having trouble deciding if it is ok for me to provide care- go figure.
